Hi, my name is Vivienne D’Avalon, and I’m here to teach you everything you need to know about working with ghosts, spirits, and deities.

You can start out by reading this free report that tells you a little bit about me, my book On the Care and Feeding of Spirits , why I wrote the book, and what it has to teach you.

As to why you want to work with the spirit world, take a look at the list of questions to the right, and see how many of those apply to you.  (If you have a reason that isn’t listed, please share it with me; either post a comment, or email me at vivienne@persephoneshaven.com.  I would love to hear from you).

It’s my goal to make this site a resource for people wanting to work with many different kinds of spirits and spirit energy, especially (but not exclusively) magick practitioners who would like to use spirits as friends, allies, and a wonderful resource.  Beginners, intermediate, and advanced workers will all find material of use to them on this site and in my book.

Eventually I hope to set this up as a membership site, with a forum so we can build an interactive community.  (There will be free as well as premium content).  In the meantime, I’ll be populating this site with pages, posts, and articles, trying to answer some of the most common questions out there, such as: are ghosts real, what are ghosts, how can I talk to the dead, and so forth.  (Click on the “ghosts” tab above for for my answer to the first questions).

I’ll also post some private pages (accessible to people who purchase the book) about my experiences in the Lucumi (Santerian) religion, which has their own specific spirits with very specific methods of approaching them and “feeding” them.  The methods in my book, On the Care and Feeding of Spirits, are aimed more generally at any kind of spirit or deity from any pantheon or belief system, and come from a Wiccan or Neo-Pagan perspective.

Though my book is not about ghost hunting, I have found an ebook through clickbank that looks like a great resource for that subject, and would be a wonderful complement to the information here and in my book.  I’ll post an affiliates page soon with information about that.

I also have friends who run a not-for-profit paranormal society (Shadownight Paranormal).  I’m trying to help them get their website up, and as soon as that’s ready I will have links to their site, and possibly samples of some of their pictures and audio files from their ghost hunts.  They are very impressive!
